Alice Margaret Walker Brzozowski passed from this earth June 10, 2012 at Forestview Skilled Nursing Facility where she had resided since 2005.
Alice was born in Emporium, PA July 9, 1918 to the late George A. and Frances Cordie Walker.
Alice served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII and later earned a degree in business from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. For more than 50 years, Alice lived in Jacksonville, Miami and then Lakeland, FL. She was employed by Canada Dry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse of only nine years, Chester Brzozowski in 1972; all of her siblings and their spouses, Frances Walker Redding (James), George A. Walker, II (Bernice), Cornelia Walker Wyant (Martin), James Walker, who perished in WW II; and her nephew, Eugene Brzozowski.
Alice loved to travel. She had been to the opera house in Sydney, Europe and Puerto Rico. When you asked her to go somewhere, she was ready yesterday! Her yard was beautiful; lush grass, citrus trees and flowers.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Thaddeus Brzozowski, DDS and his wife, Martha, of Lakeland; ten nieces and nephews with whom she shared many happy times. Twelve great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Alice will be interred next to her husband at Southern Memorial Park in Miami, FL.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Northwestern PA, 1128 State Street, Suite 301, Erie, PA 16501 or to Forestview Healthcare Center at Springhill, 2301 Edinboro Rd., Erie, PA 16509.
