Patricia A. Semple, age 73, of Erie passed away peacefully on September 6, 2012 at Erie Presbyterian Lodge after an extended illness.
Patricia was born on March 9, 1939, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Brunner) Ruf.
She graduated from Academy High School in 1957 and Hamot Hospital School of Nursing. She was passionate about her nursing career of over 40 years; working for Hamot Hospital and the Erie County Health Department.
Pat was a loving wife and mother who also loved animals.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Ruf, an uncle, Ray Ruf and an aunt, Marian Ruf.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Thomas S. Semple, a son, Thomas J. Semple and his wife Laurie, a daughter Elizabeth M. Pelinsky and 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and Rachel Semple.
Friends may call on Saturday, September 8th at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) from 10:00 am until the time of the service there at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of the Burton Westlake Funeral Home.
