Robert S. Sanko, 62, of McKean, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Millcreek Manor.
Born in Erie on June 25, 1950, Robbie was the son of the late Oliver and Kirsti Olson Sanko.
He served in the PA Army National Guard, was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School class of 1968 and attended Behrend College.
Rob was employed at General Electric for 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, crossword puzzles, telling jokes and running his beloved black labrador, Royce.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew Gregory O. Sanko.
Survivors include his two sons Joshua R. Sanko (Amber Silbaugh) of Edinboro and Nicholas C. Sanko of McKean; his brother William J. Sanko (Deborah) of Fairview and their children Molly, Geoff and Garrett; two grandchildren Isaiah and Gabrielle Sanko. He is further survived by his beloved former wife of 28 years, friend and companion Mary De Domenico and one niece, Lauren Sanko (Joey Fletcher) and their children, Taylore, Mackenzie and Kennedie Fletcher.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502 on Sunday from 2:00 until the time of the service there at 4:00 pm. Msgr. Robert L. Brugger will officiate.
