Marie L. (Varo) Crouch age 86, of Erie, passed away Monday, September 25, 2012 at Sarah Reed Retirement Center.
She was born on October 17, 1925 in North East, Pa a daughter of the late James and Pauline Falletta Varo.
She went to Burton School and Erie Commercial now Erie Business Center. Marie worked with her family as a business manager for Varo Moving and Storage for 22
years and Burhnams Van Lines for 5 years.
She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
Marie was a member of the Elks Club, East Erie Turners. She enjoyed bowling and playing in her cards club.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Orville Crouch, a son Russell Crouch, a brother Sam Varo and a sister Rosemarie Varo.
She is survived by two daughters Pauline Docter and her husband David of Erie; and Tina Schiefellbein and her husband Randy of Fairview; her devoted sister and her best friend Anna Marie Varo Conti and her husband John; a sister Josephone Varo Barber all of Erie; a sister Vinnie Varo Wiezkowski of Corry and a brother Russell Varo and his wife Janet of Erie; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street ( at Powell Ave) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater PA, 1128 State St. Erie, PA 16502.
