Sandra "Sandy" Paige age 51, of Erie, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Village at Luther Square.
She was born in Floyd County, KY on August 19, 1961 a daughter of the late Willie Spencer and Bessie Hill, wife of Thurman Page. She was a graduate of East McDowell High School in Floyd County KY and earned a degree as a nurse practitioner from Erie Business School. She worked for Voice For Independence but then discovered her true joy of cooking and worked for many years at the Plymouth Tavern in Erie. She was also known for her great love of books and reading as well as gardening and growing house plants.
She is survived by 9 children, Desarea Kimbro, Davon Kimbro, Khaalil Smith, Fatima Smith, Malik Spencer, Deontay Kimbro, Zakar Kimbro, Khaaliq Kimbro and Amiynah Kimbro. She also leaves 12 brothers and sisters, Willie, Walter, Virgil, Sedrick, Norma, Alexandra, Sam, and Charles Smith along with Diane Evans, Debbie Reed, Donna Pomales and Terry Paige.
Sandra is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as by her very best friends, Donna Owens and Michelle Thomas.
Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 602 West Tenth Street, Erie, Pa. 16502 on Monday from 5:00 pm till the time of service there at 6:00 pm with Reverend Jeff Jones officiating.
