Charlotte "Hon" McCray Weislogel, age 91, of Fairview, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center.
She was born in Erie, on September 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Minnetta Grosholtz McCray.
Mrs. Weislogel was a graduate of Slippery Rock College.
She taught physical education prior joining the family business of more than 100 years, Weislogel Grocery Store, which was started in 1904. She worked with her husband "Bud" in the store which was their life, from that time on until their retirement.
She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church. Her civic and fraternal affiliations included the Fern Rebekah Lodge No. 742, the Fairview Firemen's Auxiliary, and Girard Chapter No. 84 Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Leroy C. "Bud" Weislogel in 2001.
She is survived by three sons: Larry Weislogel, of Bonita Springs, FL, Ronald Weislogel and his wife Kathy, of Fairview, and David Weislogel and his wife Liz, of Evanston, IL; two brothers, Ralph McCray, of Barefoot Bay, FL, and Gerald McCray, of Danville, West VA; six grandchildren: Kristen Weislogel, Amy Dinterman, Heather Martin, Aaron Weislogel, James Weislogel, and Laurel Weislogel; one great grandson, Emmett Ansel Dinterman; two step-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street, Girard, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Saturday at 12 noon with Rev. Charles Cammarata officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
