Tom and Terry:
My condolences to you both on the loss of your father. He was an inspiration to me. He had a wonderful personality. He loved people and people loved him. I miss sharing lunches on wednesdays with he and the guys. I had known your dad for a long time through the Aviation Club. He and Jack Spafford were getting together for lunch frequently and they asked me to join them.
This was a number of years ago. I called the two of them the grumpy old men because they reminded me of Jack Lemon and Walter Mathaeu, and they were equally as humerous.Because of that relationship and getting together for lunch, four or five of us now get together for lunch every Wednesday at different restaurants, just as we did with your dad. It all started with he and Jack.
I feel badly that I will not be able to attend the services because I will be leaving this
Saturday morning to join my daughter, grand daughter and son-in-law for a vacation in California.
